The new Sup legislation

A carefree adventure on sustainable water

In recent years, there has been a growing global awareness about the harmful impact of single-use plastics (SUPs) on our environment.

SUPs, such as plastic bottles, straws and packaging, contribute to this pollution and threaten the health of our oceans and ecosystems.

It is estimated that in the Netherlands alone, we annually dispose of more than
7billion plastic cups and meal containers after single use. This has to change...

what does this mean for your organization?

Fortunately, the Dutch government also thinks things should be different. As of Jan. 1, therefore, disposables will be banned and reuse will become the norm. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will also be introduced.

This directive states that from 2024, more and more companies will be required to report on their impact on people and the environment. The purpose of this is to create transparency around sustainability within organizations.

To keep things clear, we have written blogs for both topics. In these blogs we will discuss the details of the new SUP legislation and the CSRD directive and you will find out how this will affect your hospitality business or office.
